In sixth grade, we delve deeper into reading by finding messages layered in the text. There will be a variety of texts for our topics of study: narrative, informational, and argument.

WritingWe add greater complexity to our writing this year. We will be writing in the narrative, informational, and argument genres using a variety of resources.

LanguageThis year, students will build on language skills initiated in previous grades and are introduced to new rules of punctuation, grammar, and usage. They will also be introduced to rich vocabulary that can be used in their writing.

About Mrs. Campbell
Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Carrie Campbell and I am a sixth grade English/Language Arts Teacher at Baker Intermediate School. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education.
This is my seventh year teaching and my second year teaching at Baker Intermediate.
When I am not busy planning and teaching, I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, and playing with my two crazy dogs
and cat.
